Text messaging terms

How Homebase text messages work: who gets them, what they say, and how to stop them.

1. What you are signing up for

Homebase sends maintenance text messages on behalf of your property manager: confirmation that a request was received, urgency and safety instructions, vendor scheduling and access-window offers, arrival and status updates, and requests to confirm that work is finished. These are service messages about requests you made or repairs at your home. We do not send marketing texts.

2. Your consent

We only text a resident who has agreed to it. You agree by turning on text messages for your account in the resident portal settings, or by replying START after you have stopped texts. We keep a record of when and how you agreed. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of renting a home or of using Homebase; you can always follow your requests in the portal and by email instead.

3. How often, and cost

Message frequency depends on your requests: usually a few messages per repair. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

4. Stop, help and changes

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts. We confirm once and then send no more.
Reply HELP for help, or email support@investingaire.com.
You can also turn texts off, or choose which events text you, in portal settings. Reply START or turn them back on in settings to resume.
If you stop texts, safety-critical information may still be sent by email, and your property manager may call you.

Emergencies. Homebase is not an emergency service. If you smell gas, see smoke or fire, or anyone is in danger, leave the building and call 911 first. Reports sent through Homebase are not monitored in real time by emergency responders. Text messages can be delayed or fail to arrive, so never rely on them in an emergency.

5. Your information

Your phone number is used only to send you these messages and is shared only with our text messaging provider (Telnyx) and the carriers that deliver them. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Carriers

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is not guaranteed.
